Date: July 4, 2007 2:58:35 PM CEST
The package below has been added at tug.ctan.org and should soon be at your favorite mirror. Thanks again, Jim Hefferon Saint Michael's College ........................................................................ The following information was provided by our fellow contributor: Name of contribution: Automata v.0.1 Author's name: Gabriele Puppis Location on CTAN: /graphics/metapost/contrib/macros/automata Summary description: package for metapost to draw finite state machines, graphs, trees, etc. License type: lppl Announcement text:
This package is a collection of macros for METAPOST to make easier to draw finite-state machines, automata, labeled graphs, etc. Nodes can be either isolated or arranged into matrices or trees; edges connect pairs of nodes through arbitrary paths. Some parameters can be specified to define different shapes for nodes and/or different styles for the edges.
This package is located at http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/graphics/metapost/contrib/macros/automata . More information is at http://tug.ctan.org/cgi-bin/ctanPackageInformation.py?id=Automata (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). automata – Finite state machines, graphs and trees in

The package offers a collection of macros for to make easier to draw finite-state machines, automata, labelled graphs, etc. The user defines nodes, which may be isolated or arranged into matrices or trees; edges connect pairs of nodes through arbitrary paths. Parameters, that specify the shapes of nodes and the styles of edges, may be adjusted.
