On Mon, 7 Mar 2005 Will Robertson submitted version 1.6 of the package
fontspec
for xetex.
fontspec is a LaTeX package for XeTeX, a Mac OS X only extension of TeX
that supports unicode input and OpenType fonts natively. The package
provides a simple interface for font selection and advanced feature
selection for NFSS simple interface for font selection and advanced

fontspec – Advanced font selection in XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX
Fontspec is a package for XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX. It provides an automatic and unified interface to feature-rich AAT and OpenType fonts through the NFSS in LaTeX running on XeTeX or LuaTeX engines.
The package requires the l3kernel and xparse bundles from the LaTeX3 development team.
