On Wed, 15 Feb 2012, Theppitak Karoonboonyanan submitted an update to the thailatex package. Summary description: Typeset Thai texts with standard LaTeX classes License type: lppl Announcement text:
- No more stretch for \wbr. It caused uneven spacing between words. - Font encoding and ligkern stuff is now moved to font packages, to allow custom ligkern rules per font. - Supports more LaTeX escape sequences, namely \textdollar, \i, \j, \textasciicircum, \textasciitilde, \textbackslash, \textbar, \textbraceleft, \textbraceright, \textgreater, \textless, \textquotedbl - Revised documentation for the Thai language definition.

Thai – Typeset Thai texts with standard classes

Thai enables typesetting Thai with standard document classes.

However, it has been obsolete ever since its materials were included in their corresponding upstream sources: the Babel language definition has been included in the babel-thai package, the hyphenation patterns have been included in hyph-utf8.
