The ``bmeps'' program converts \textsc{png}-, \textsc{jpeg}-
and \textsc{netpbm} to \textsc{eps}, \textsc{pdf} and
\textsc{bb} files (bounding box files for \LaTeX{}).

Additionally bmeps can process \textsc{tiff} files which can be read
using the \textit{TIFFReadRGBAImage()\/} from the libtiff library.

The package also builds a library libbmeps which can be linked into
dvips.
