The pack­age of­fers type­set­ting for the Ben­gali lan­guage, us­ing Omega. With the pack­age, you can use ei­ther the Velthuis translit­er­a­tion scheme or di­rectly-writ­ten Uni­code Ben­gali text in your TeX doc­u­ment.
The dis­tri­bu­tion of­fers fonts (as Meta­font source and in Adobe Type 1 for­mat), Omega trans­la­tion pro­cess files, and LaTeX macro files.
