CTAN tools – A jiffy to search CTAN file list

The Unix-shell script ‘ctan’ pro­vides fa­cil­i­ties for ex­tract­ing and us­ing in­for­ma­tion from the CTAN file list; the fa­cil­i­ties in­clude re­triev­ing files. To do this, it uses var­i­ous com­mon util­i­ties, in­clud­ing wget and lynx.
