hyphsubst – Substitute hyphenation patterns

A TeX for­mat file may in­clude al­ter­na­tive hy­phen­ation pat­terns for a lan­guage with a dif­fer­ent name. If the nam­ing con­ven­tion fol­lows ba­bel’s rules, then the hy­phen­ation pat­terns for a lan­guage may be re­placed by the al­ter­na­tive hy­phen­ation pat­terns, pro­vided in the for­mat file.
