Lam­sTeX – A merge of the best in AMS-TeX and LaTeX

The pack­age was pro­duced in re­sponse to a per­ceived de­mand from AMSTeX users for the sorts of fa­cil­i­ties that LaTeX pro­vides. (In the event, most such users use AMS-LaTeX, which the AMS de­vel­ops.)
The dis­tri­bu­tion com­prises TeX source and set of fonts (as Meta­font source) that are used in the pack­age's com­mu­ta­tive di­a­gram macros.
Fur­ther­more, two ap­pli­ca­tions are as­so­ci­ated with LamsTeX, an in­dex-pro­ces­sor that deals with LamsTeX's in­dex­ing com­mands, and dvipaste.
