mu­sictex – Type­set­ting mu­sic with TeX

Mu­sicTeX is a set of macros, that first demon­strated the tech­nique of si­mul­ta­ne­ous two-di­men­sional type­set­ting as ap­plied to mu­sic. Mu­sicTeX has its short­com­ings (no­tably in the area of slurs), and is now largely su­per­seded by MusiXTeX.
