psnf­ssx-8r – Raw Type 1 fonts with LaTeX

This pack­age pro­vides LaTeX sup­port for the 8r en­cod­ing, which is how Adobe Stan­dard En­cod­ing Type 1 fonts are rep­re­sented within a TeX sys­tem. Nor­mally, 8r en­cod­ing is merely the base en­cod­ing of vir­tual fonts that spec­ify OT1 or T1 en­cod­ing, but when vir­tual fonts are un­de­sir­able (for speed rea­sons) or un­avail­able, this pack­age will serve.
Users should note that the pack­age is un­sup­ported, and that it is not rec­om­mended by the LaTeX team.
