tex-gyre-cho­rus – A font that ex­tends URW Chancery L

The TeX Gyre Cho­rus font is based on the URW Chancery L Medium Italic. The orig­i­nal font, ITC Zapf Chancery, was de­signed in 1979 by Her­mann Zapf who was in­spired by hand­writ­ten let­ter­forms of the Ital­ian Re­nais­sance.
Cho­rus has been greatly ex­tended, and con­tains more than 800 glyphs (un­like the rest of the TeX Gyre bun­dle, there are no Greek glyphs, and there are no small caps). The font is avail­able both in Adobe Type 1 and in OpenType for­mats, and LaTeX sup­port (for use with a va­ri­ety of en­cod­ings) is pro­vided. Viet­namese char­ac­ters were added by Han The Thanh.
