trace – Make sen­si­ble use of TeX trac­ing in LaTeX

The pack­age pro­vides the means to sup­press ex­ces­sive (and usu­ally un­nec­es­sary) trac­ing in­side some par­tic­u­larly ver­bose parts of LaTeX (such as the font se­lec­tion rou­tines, or the calc pack­age's pars­ing of ex­pres­sions).
The pack­age there­fore re­de­fines a num­ber of key com­mands to turn off trac­ing while they ex­e­cute (those the au­thor finds most an­noy­ing and noisy). Since it po­ten­tially mod­i­fies the con­tent of other pack­ages, the pack­age should be loaded last in a doc­u­ment's pream­ble.
