vowel – Draw vowel charts for pho­netic re­search

Vowel in­ven­to­ries are usu­ally dis­played on a quadri­lat­eral whose axes rep­re­sent height and back­ness. The pack­age pro­vides meth­ods for plot­ting vow­els on the stan­dard IPA vowel quadri­lat­eral. Com­mands are pro­vided for plot­ting both the IPA car­di­nal vow­els, and vow­els at ar­bi­trary po­si­tions on the chart.
