windvi – MS-Win­dows DVI viewer

Windvi was the out­come of an ex­er­cise to port the Unix-based Xdvi for use un­der Win32, for the fpTeX sys­tem. As it turned out, the ex­er­cise turned into far more than just a port, as X Win­dows is far from Win32; all the user in­ter­face and the graph­i­cal part was rewrit­ten.
The au­thor of fpTeX has now switched his at­ten­tions to de­vel­op­ment of the XEmTeX sys­tem, and fpTeX (and windvi with it) is no longer be­ing de­vel­oped.
