The SunOS 4.x executables have been tested under SunOS 4.1.4 and Solaris 2.5.1
and are virtually indistinguishable in speed from native Solaris 2.x binaries.
There have been reports that they don't work well under Solaris 2.4, however.

The x86 binaries were downloaded from The Written Word's free Open Source site
(http://www.thewrittenword.com/free/downloads/).
