GNU Emacs modes to display letters with standard TeX accents as the character they are supposed to represent (for example "\'e" would display as "é". This provides an alternative approach to that provided by inputenc, in which the user types the desired character and (La)TeX transparently executes the commands needed to produce the character in the typeset output.
The package is said to be capable of working with GNU Emacs version 19 or later.
This package is not available from either major free distribution, MiKTeX or TeX Live.
