set­to­size-ltx – Scale text to make it fit a given width

The com­mand \scale­towidth de­cides on a scale for the cur­rent font such that the text will fit the given width.
This pack­age is an adap­ta­tion for LaTeX of the set­to­size pack­age for plain TeX; it is now su­per­seded by textfit, which is a de­vel­op­ment for cur­rent LaTeX.
