To install:

run
  latex dnaseq.ins

To generate the documentation:

run 
   latex dnaseq.dtx
if your dvi-viewer can not do color specials (e.g. xdvi), 
convert to postscript:
   dvips dnaseq

or run:
   pdflatex dnaseq.dtx

dnaseq – For­mat DNA base se­quences

De­fines a means of spec­i­fy­ing se­quences of bases. The bases may be num­bered (per line) and you may spec­ify that sub­se­quences be coloured.

For a more ‘vanilla-flavoured’ way of type­set­ting base se­quences, the user might con­sider the se­qs­plit pack­age.
