The proba package defines some macros useful for typesetting texts in probability theory. For example, macros are defined to consistently typeset the probability or conditional probability of an event, or the expectation or conditional expectation of a random variable.

proba – Shortcuts commands to symbols used in probability texts
This package includes some of the most often used commands in probability texts, e.g. probability, expectation, variance, etc. It also includes some short commands for set (blackboard) or filtrations (calligraphic). It requires LaTeX2ε and the amsfonts package.
