TeX Live - installer packages
The TeX Live web pages <http://tug.org/texlive/> have information on:
- other ways to acquire the distribution <http://tug.org/texlive/acquire.html>,
- quick installation <http://tug.org/texlive/quickinstall.html>,
- documentation <http://tug.org/texlive/doc.html>,
- reporting bugs and known issues <http://tug.org/texlive/bugs.html>,
If you have a complete copy of this directory (for example, via rsync), including the archive/ and tlpkg/ subdirectories, you can run the install-tl (install-tl-windows.bat for Windows) script present here.
The update-tlmgr-latest.sh and .exe archives here are one way to update tlmgr itself, or to recover from tlmgr being completely broken <http://tug.org/texlive/tlmgr.html#disaster>.
It is not recommended, but as an alternative to this network install, you can use the giant ISO image of the distribution <http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/Images/>.
This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it. There is NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law.
texlive-repo – A mirror of the TeX Live repository
This mirror of the repository provides a distributed resource for the TeX Live installer, since it is replicated over every CTAN mirror.
The TeX Live installer, together with the TeX Live manager, allows users to install, update, and generally maintain the TeX Live installation on their machines.
