Directory tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/manuscript
Manuscript package uses standard LaTeX packaging system. To install run latex manuscript.ins for unpacking .sty and .drv files. manuscript.sty should go somewhere, where it will be found by latex (if kpathsea is used in your distribution, do not forget to run texhash). Documentation can be obtained by latex manuscript.drv makeindex -s gglo.ist -o manuscript.gls manuscript.glo makeindex -s gind.ist latex manuscript.drv Alternatively you can just run make to do everything automagically.
