subscript – Provides the \textsubscript command
Provides a command \textsubscript, which is the counterpart to LaTeX's \textsuperscript command. From 2006 on this command was made available by the fixltx2e package distributed with LaTeX itself, and starting with the LaTeX 2015 releases it became part of the LaTeX kernel. Thus, these days this code is only necessary if you run on a very old LaTeX distribution and want to make use of this command.
Subscript is one of a series of fragments designed for use by package writers and others.
