tex-gyre-ad­ven­tor – A font fam­ily that ex­tends URW Gothic L

The TeX Gyre Ad­ven­tor fam­ily of sans serif fonts is based on the URW Gothic L fam­ily. The orig­i­nal font, ITC Avant Garde Gothic, was de­signed by Herb Lubalin and Tom Car­nase in 1970; the URW font is com­monly used as a sub­sti­tute for the ITC orig­i­nal.
The stan­dard faces of Ad­ven­tor have been greatly ex­tended, and con­tain nearly 1100 glyphs each. The fam­ily is avail­able both in Adobe Type 1 and in OpenType for­mats, and LaTeX sup­port (for use with a va­ri­ety of en­cod­ings) is pro­vided. Viet­namese char­ac­ters were added by Han The Thanh.
