Parsa Yazdi submitted the tikz-sections package. Version number: 0.2.0 2026-05-25 License type: lppl1.3c Summary description: Draw structural cross-sections Announcement text:
TikZ-Sections is a TikZ-based LaTeX package for drawing structural engineering cross-sections. The package provides key-value commands for common cold-formed steel, hot-rolled steel, and reinforced-concrete section sketches, including channels, zees, RHS/SHS/CHS sections, universal beams and columns, plates, bars, and basic reinforced-concrete rectangular and circular sections. This release prepares the package for distribution on CTAN under the name `tikz-sections`. It introduces a clearer public command interface, package-safe TikZ loading, improved placement and transformation keys, updated documentation and examples, and a more consistent key-value API for structural section drawings.
This package is located at https://mirrors.ctan.org/graphics/pgf/contrib/tikz-sections More information is at https://www.ctan.org/pkg/tikz-sections

tikz-sections – Draw structural cross-sections

Preparing high-quality structural engineering figures for papers and reports is time-consuming. TikZ-Sections aims to make this easier for engineers and academics working with steel and reinforced-concrete sections.
