Defines the \leading{<length>} command to set the leading of the document to the length specified. In contrast with \linespread{<ratio>}, which is less useful in most cases.

leading – Define leading with a length

The package defines a command \leading, whose argument is a <length> that specifies the nominal distance between consecutive baselines of typeset text. The command replaces the rather more difficult command \linespread{<ratio>}, where the leading is specified by reference to the font size.
