El­se­vier's new doc­u­ment class for type­set jour­nal ar­ti­cles, el­sar­ti­cle.cls, is now ac­cepted for sub­mit­ted ar­ti­cles, both in El­se­vier's elec­tronic sub­mis­sion sys­tem and else­where. It re­places the pre­vi­ous doc­u­ment class for type­set ar­ti­cles, el­sart.cls, which is now over 10 years old. el­sar­ti­cle.cls has been de­vel­oped for El­se­vier by the lead­ing TeX de­vel­oper River Val­ley Tech­nolo­gies. This ver­sion has mi­nor changes as the re­sult of au­thor and ed­i­tor feed­back dur­ing 2008.

This class for type­set­ting jour­nal ar­ti­cles is ac­cepted for sub­mit­ted ar­ti­cles both in El­se­vier’s elec­tronic sub­mis­sion sys­tem and else­where.
