This package has been updated at tug.ctan.org and should soon be at your local mirror. Thanks, Jim Hefferon Saint Michael's College .......................................................................... The following information was provided by our fellow contributor: Name of contribution: latexmk Author's name: John Collins Location on CTAN: /support/latexmk Summary description: Fully automated LaTeX document generation routine V. 4.07 License type: gpl Announcement text:
This version contains a couple of improvements: It corrects the problem that a ctrl/C used to exit from preview-continuous mode always also killed any script used to call latexmk. It deals better with case that a run of (pdf)latex does not produce the expected dvi or pdf file.

latexmk – Fully automated document generation

Latexmk completely automates the process of generating a document. Given the source files for a document, latexmk issues the appropriate sequence of commands to generate a .dvi, .ps, .pdf or hardcopy version of the document.

An important feature is the “preview continuous mode”, where the script watches all of the source files (primary file and included and graphics files), and reruns , etc., whenever a source file has changed. Thus a previewer can offer a display of the document’s latest state.
