A Few Notes on Book De­sign, aka memde­sign.pdf is an ex­tended ver­sion of what use to be the first part of the mem­oir users man­ual. As this part was not about the mem­oir class and might be in­ter­est­ing for non-mem­oir users it has now been split in to this stand alone doc­u­ment. Please note that the PDF uses com­mer­cial fonts, but the README con­tains in­struc­tions as to how to com­pile the doc­u­ment with­out these fonts.

Please note that the com­piled copy, sup­plied in the pack­age, uses com­mer­cial fonts; the README file con­tains in­struc­tions on how to com­pile the doc­u­ment with­out these fonts.
