On Sun, 11 Oct 2009 Rolf Niepraschk submitted an update to the
eso-pic
package.
Eso-pic is an extension of everyshi. Using everyshi's \EveryShipout command,
eso-pic adds one or more user commands to LaTeX's shipout actions.
o Uses now `atbegshi' instead of `everyshi'.
o Is now usable with the class `memoir' (see also `showframe').
o Some small bug fixes.

eso-pic – Add picture commands (or backgrounds) to every page
The package adds one or more user commands to LaTeX’s shipout routine, which may be used to place the output at fixed positions. The grid option may be used to find the correct places.
