The llncs macro package is used by contributors to Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) and related book series. Since the mid-1990, it has been provided from the LNCS homepage https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs, and it is used widely also for non-Springer publications. This initial upload to CTAN is intended to improve distribution and make Springer's official release easier to find.
