unitipa – TIPA typefaces with Unicode characters as input

This package converts Unicode characters into TIPA commands, which gives us tipa typefaces without learning the actual tipa commands.

This package needs Lua as the compiler for correctly typesetting the IPA diacritics. If used with the global option nodiacritics, it can be compiled with other engines, too, but no IPA diacritics will be printed.

TIPA was designed to match with the Computer Modern design, no other IPA font matches with traditional fonts. This package is helpful for obtaining the beautiful tipa shapes with Unicode characters as input. It is assumed that the user knows how to type IPA Unicode.
