Announcement text:
This package provides commands to simplify input of files from other directories. Version 6.0 adjusts the search order of different directories to eliminate the need for problematic \import* variant commands. The updated documentation reflects this, and also (now) correctly describes the difference between \import and \subimport.
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/import More information is at https://www.ctan.org/pkg/import
Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Manfred Lotz CTAN is run entirely by volunteers and supported by TeX user groups. Please join a user group or donate to one, see https://ctan.org/lugs .

import – Establish input relative to a directory
The commands \import{full_path}{file} and \subimport{path_extension}{file} set up input through standard LaTeX mechanisms (\input, \include and \includegraphics) to load files relative to the \import-ed directory.
There are also \includefrom, \subincludefrom, and * variants of the commands.
