The pack­age pro­vides a means of defin­ing macros whose op­tions are taken from a dic­tio­nary, which in­cludes op­tions which them­selves have ar­gu­ments. The pack­age was de­signed for use with Plain TeX; its syn­tax de­rives from that of the \hbox, \hrule, etc. TeX prim­i­tives.
