tikzpizza

Pizzas for fraction problems, drawn with TikZ.

tikzpizza draws cartoon pizzas for maths worksheets, tests and slides. You choose the shape, how it is cut, what goes on each slice and how much has been eaten:

  • shapes: round, square, rectangular, or any regular polygon; polygons are sized to hold as much pizza as a round one, so comparisons are fair;
  • cuts: equal slices (equal in area, whatever the shape), slices of any sizes you list, grids and strips (the tavern cut on a round pizza), off-centre cuts that are fair by area or unfair by angle, sloppy cuts, or hidden cuts;
  • toppings: four sauces, three cheeses and fourteen toppings (shrimp, spinach and rounds of fresh mozzarella among them), each on exactly the slices you choose, spread thick or thin, or an exact number per slice for counting; add your own with \pizzanewtopping;
  • eating: eaten or removed slices (with a dashed ghost of the whole if you like), separated and pulled-out slices, bites from the crust or the tip, and a tray, sheet or board with the crumbs left behind.

It can be cut into equal slices, slices of any sizes you list, grids and strips, off-centre cuts that are fair by area or unfair by angle, sloppy cuts, or hidden cuts.

Four sauces, three cheeses and fourteen toppings can go on chosen slices, spread thick or thin or with an exact number per slice for counting, and you can define your own toppings. Slices can be eaten, removed, separated or pulled out, bites can be taken from the crust or the tip, and a tray, sheet or board can show the crumbs left behind.
