README

The goal of this package is the simplest possible provision of map images (OpenStreetMap, Google Maps and Google Street View are supported). In the simplest case, it is is sufficient to specify an address.. The package loads the map using the write18 feature, which you must activate to use this package. The image will be downloaded by an external Lua script. You can use this script also from the command line.

Changes in v1.9:

  • compatibility fix for luatex v0.85+
  • Bugfix: restore some option defaults to guarantee correct download URLs after changing mode in getmap

Download the contents of this package in one zip archive (2.2M).

getmap – Download OpenStreetMap maps for use in documents

The package provides a simple interface to OpenStreetMap, and to Google Maps “map images”. In the simplest case, it is sufficient to specify the address you need (if you don’t, the package will use its own default).

The package loads the map image using an external lua script (invoked via \write 18: must be running with \write 18 enabled).

The (“external”) lua script may be used from the command line; a bash version is provided.
