1. Requirements
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Technica requires the LaTeXe release dated 2003/12/01 or the release
dated 2005/12/01 and will not work with any earlier or later release.
If and when a new LaTeXe release is published, the Technica software
will be changed to allow use of the new release, provided the latter
consists, as it has been the case with all previous versions of LaTeX,
of a set of macros for TeX. Should the new release require, as has
been hinted, a program other that TeX, the Technica software will not
be changed. The reason for this restriction is simple: Technica has
been written for TeX and it will never depend, directly or indirectly,
on any set of macros that cannot be processed by TeX. Please note that
the licence under which the Technica software is distributed prohibits
any modification of the files.

The following packages are required by Technica:

calc Kresten Krab Thorup, Frank Jensen and the LaTeX3 Project
ifmtarg Peter Wilson and Donald Arseneau
ifthen Leslie Lamport, the LaTeX3 project, David Carlisle
keyval David Carlisle
soul Melchior Franz

All the packages are available on CTAN.

2. Installing Technica
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To install the software run LaTeX on technica.ins
This will place the files:

        TEXNIKA.sty
        poetry.sty
        drama.sty

in the current directory. These files should be moved to a directory
in the TeX input path. The following files (included in the distribution)
must also be moved to the same directory:

        txndrop.sty
        txnline.sty
        txntitle.sty

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Typesetting the examples
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Instructions for typesetting the examples files can be found in
'examples.pdf' in the `examples' subdirectory.
Please note that many examples files require Babel with the
appropriate language option, as specified in the instructions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Documentation
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The user manual is available in `Technica.pdf'.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. License
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The software is distributed under the terms of the license included
in file	license.txt
