thailatex is a Thai package which enables typesetting Thai with LaTeX's standard document classes. It is meant to become a part of "babel", a multilingual package for LaTeX which supports a lot of non-American languages. This version has been relicensed as LPPL. The Thai babel macro file has been rewritten as .dtx, for documentation. The fonts are updated to latest versions, with four new fonts added. One LIGKERN bug has been fixed using Werner Lemberg's method as published in TUGboat Volume 21 (2000), No. 2.
This package is located at http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/language/thai/thailatex . Thai – Typeset Thai texts with standard classes

Thai enables typesetting Thai with standard document classes.

However, it has been obsolete ever since its materials were included in their corresponding upstream sources: the Babel language definition has been included in the babel-thai package, the hyphenation patterns have been included in hyph-utf8.
