1. Some package options are now disabled just before \begin{document} to avoid being set by users within the document body, since resetting some options within the document body can give wrong outcome. Attempting to (re) set those options will flag errors. 2. The configuration file for the user guide and example files is now included in the bundle.

xwatermark – Graphics and text watermarks on selected pages
The package extends the author’s draftmark and the watermark packages.
It is currently unmaintained and does not work with modern LaTeX releases.
