Fixed in 1.3.2 In a tagged PDF, the spoken form of an \altn or \altg stack was attached to an element that contained nothing. Under LuaLaTeX this happened to every stack; under every engine, to an \altn alternative containing a \lpzg gloss. The printed page was correct and veraPDF accepted the file, so the defect went unnoticed. A screen reader now finds the alternatives inside the element whose /Alt describes them.

Linguexx – A tagging-aware package for typesetting linguistic examples and glosses
This is a standalone LaTeX package for linguistic examples, with a linguex-compatible input syntax and first-class support for accessible (tagged) PDF output.
linguexx reimplements the familiar dot-syntax of linguex on the expl3 kernel, with no dependency on linguex, cgloss4e, or xspace. It runs on pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX. When the document enables the LaTeX tagging code, linguexx writes its examples into the PDF structure tree as accessible objects.
