CTAN Update: babel-french

Date: April 13, 2018 8:47:33 PM CEST
Daniel Flipo submitted an update to the babel-french package. Version: 3.4d 2018-04-12 License: lppl1.3 Summary description: Babel contributed support for French Announcement text:
LaTeX 2018 has a new default encoding (utf8) which breaks \frenchsetup{og=« and fg=»} when used with the pdftex engine and single-byte encodings like latin1, latin9, applemac, etc. This new version fixes this issue, it is meant to work both with previous LaTeX versions and with the new one.
The package’s Catalogue entry can be viewed at https://ctan.org/pkg/babel-french The package’s files themselves can be inspected at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/babel-contrib/french/
