The Ja­panese TeX Devel­op­ment Com­mu­nity sub­mit­ted an up­date to the ptex-fontmaps pack­age. Ver­sion num­ber: 20190318.0 Li­cense type: pd gpl3 Sum­mary de­scrip­tion: Font maps and con­fig­u­ra­tion tools for Ja­panese/Chi­nese/Korean fonts with (u)ptex An­nounce­ment text:
* New ver­sion that will go on TeX Live 2019. * Add Noto/SourceHan font maps. Note that these are Uni­code-en­coded Adobe-Iden­ti­ty0 fonts, so they can be used only in up­TeX + dvipdfmx. For other rou­tines (i.e. pTeX + dvipdfmx, pTeX + dvips, up­TeX + dvips), the same set­tings as "noEmbed" is ap­plied.

This pack­age pro­vides font maps and setup tools for Ja­panese, Korean, Tra­di­tional Chi­nese, and Sim­pli­fied Chi­nese. It is the suc­ces­sor of the jfontmaps pack­age.

The files in this pack­age con­tain font maps for dvipdfmx to make var­i­ous Ja­panese/Chi­nese/Korean fonts avail­able for (u)ptex and re­lated pro­grams and for­mats.
