On Fri, 29 Jun 2012, Clemens Niederberger submitted the embrac package. Summary description: Upright Brackets in Emphasized Text License type: lppl Announcement text:
This package redefines \emph and \textit so that parentheses and squared brackets are typeset upright. It is strongly based on an article by Dominik Waßenhoven in “Die TeXnische Komödie” 2 (2012), pp. 51--53 which introduced code by Bruno Le Floch (see http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/13048/upright-parentheses-in-italic-text/13057#13057). Code parts and idea used with their kind permission. Many thanks!
This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/embrac . More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/embrac (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Thanks for the upload. For the CTAN Team Rainer Schöpf
