The LaTeX Team submitted an update to the latex-tools package. Version: 2016-04-29 License: lppl1.3 Summary description: The LaTeX standard tools bundle Announcement text:

Update with fixes to multicol and shellesc as noted in the change log * shellesc.dtx: in classic tex code accidentally defined \ShellEscape twice instead of defining \DelayedShellEscape. * multicol.dtx: Reset \boxmaxdepth back to \maxdimen when outputting pages.

A collection of (variously) simple tools provided as part of the LaTeX required tools distribution, comprising the packages: afterpage, array, bm, calc, dcolumn, delarray, enumerate, fileerr, fontsmpl, ftnright, hhline, indentfirst, layout, longtable, multicol, rawfonts, shellesc, showkeys, somedefs, tabularx, theorem, trace, varioref, verbatim, xr, and xspace.
