Clemens Niederberger submitted an update to the chemmacros package. Version number: 4.2 License type: lppl Summary description: macros and commands for chemists Announcement text:
chemmacros - changed particles with electron pairs like \ba to use the new chemformula macro \chlewis - changed \Delta in thermodynamic state variables into \ChemDelta - change in the syntax of \DeclareChemState and \RenewChemState; the old syntax stil works but is discouraged and issues a warning message chemformula - bug fix, see https://bitbucket.org/cgnieder/chemmacros/issue/23 - fixed wrong setting of the TikZ bond style - new option `arrow-style' which allows to add TikZ options to the arrows - new command \chlewis for creation of Lewis diagrams of single atoms

chemmacros – A collection of macros to support typesetting chemistry documents

The bundle offers a collection of macros and commands which are intended to make typesetting chemistry documents faster and more convenient. Coverage includes some nomenclature commands, oxidation numbers, thermodynamic data, newman projections, etc.

The package relies on the following supporting packages:

  • chemformula, providing a command for typesetting chemical formulae and reactions (doing a similar task to that of mhchem);
  • chemgreek, offering support for use of greek letters; and
  • ghsystem, providing for the UN globally harmonised chemical notation.

The packages are written using current versions of the experimental 3 coding conventions and the 3 support packages.
