This file is part of the Gentium package for TeX.
It is licensed under the Expat License.

The Gentium package for TeX consists of the original GentiumPlus release
from SIL (entirely unchanged), and additional Type 1 versions of the
fonts, converted from the TrueType originals.

The GentiumPlus-* directory in doc/ is the original documentation from
the SIL release. This includes the OFL license text, under which Gentium
is released, with Reserved Font Names "Gentium" and "SIL".

The gentium-tug directory in doc/ is documentation specific to the TUG
Type 1 release of the fonts, family name "Gentium Plus PS",
incorporating the name "Gentium" by permission of SIL given
to the TeX Users Group. This directory includes the Expat license text,
under which the TeX-specific support and documentation files are released.

gentium-tug – Gentium fonts (in two formats) and support files

Gentium is a typeface family designed to enable the diverse ethnic groups around the world who use the Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts to produce readable, high-quality publications. It supports a wide range of Latin- and Cyrillic-based alphabets.

The package consists of:

• The original (unaltered) GentiumPlus, GentiumBook, and other Gentium-family fonts in TrueType format, as developed by SIL and released under the OFL (see OFL.txt and OFL-FAQ.txt);
• Converted fonts in PostScript Type 1 format, released under the same terms. These incorporate the name “Gentium” by permission of SIL given to the TeX Users Group;
• LaTeX and other supporting files;
• TeX-related documentation, and the SIL documentation and other files.
